Yesterday over dinner , I and my friend spoke of Cisco layoff and my mom heard it and was telling me on how these companies layoff brutally and my grandpa was a part of Brooke bond acq by tata and they bounced back doing small gigs and I just can't believe whats in Indian IT? after chatgpt life looks like an endgame as companies focus on numbers than lives Indian IT people what did you do post layoff after age 30+
Take time to accept that lay off has happened. Prepare and apply for jobs immediately, if you have no money left for some months. Else, take time to rethink whether you want to skill up, or change careers, and then apply again. Else open your own company or work as a freelancer. I have now learnt to accept the layoffs as part of life. Can happen in other industries as well. Don't worry too much about it. Focus on what you can or want to do next.
