any ideas on procore comp and culture ... staff engineer austin... how solid is the company and plans of ipo
Great culture from what I’ve seen. The Austin office is supposed to be pretty cool too
There web app was so shitty like 5 years ago
5 years is a long time.. can you give me some insight
4 years ago, they had a pretty bro culture. Ran an intern sweatshop and lowballed offers. But 4 years a long time. I know someone who spent 4 years happy there.
Depends how buddy buddy you were and how much of a yes man. That moves you up or keeps a target off your back which makes work more enjoyable
It's an awesome company to work for if you can hack it. Not easy, but easy ain't fun. Comp is fair if you get results
can you give me some pointers on what you meant about hacking it
It has the same problems as most software companies. But the problems our app is solving are complex and important. (Duh it's not amazon or google, dont even try and compare). You have to be up for that challenge. You also have to be up for the challenge of working in a company in an extreme growth period.
