Fiserv work life balance and offer evaluation
Got an offer for sr. sw engineer at Jersey city office with tc 185k, but only 8d/yr pto. yoe 7. My current wlb is unbeatable, and unlimited pto tc only 115k though 😒. Please share your thoughts.
8 days/year?!?! That actually doesn't sound right. I've not heard of a large company giving less than 10, and most don't give less than 15. Definitely negotiate the PTO
Tried to, but they won’t. And said there’s additional 10 days sick leave which can be used as pto
My company (fintech) works with fiserv people on the business side and they are clueless on every call and inept. Also lots of people working offshore from India from what I can tell if that matters to you

Have you checked the tech stack they use at fiserv? I spoke to them few years ago. In terms of their tech stack they are very well behind. I rejected an offer from them then.

Their tech stack didn't seem too outdated, pretty similar to my current tech stack. But I am concerned about the wlb there and pto.
I wouldn’t. No movement upward and a lot of scrambling trying to get something out that isn’t done.
