OP, what group are you in? My area only loses people when they retire, no one leaves voluntarily, and back in 2008 when we had lay-offs most of the folks that were laid off have all come back.

I would bet it’s bad relationships with bosses. I know mdt is very heavily political at the higher levels of management, so it depends on how well the front line managers can shield their team from that. Bay Area pay is quite competitive and wlb is up to you to draw the line imo. Number 1 reason people leave any job is poor relations with their boss. I doubt it’s different for us

OP it’s a CVG thing I think. Some bigwigs were here in Santa Ana where I am awhile ago to “address concerns” of a dwindling workforce. My team shrank by 4 people out of 7 in the span of less than one year.

I understand this for all options except for culture. What company has good culture, but bad WLB, low pay, and stagnant career opportunities?
By culture I was thinking more like toxic culture eg bad relationship with managers or coworkers for example
