What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
Similar compensation. More interested in research. Are research engineers at Google brain respected. I know many ml teams have a toxic relationship between scientists and engineers
Please share offer numbers for both, also current TC, role and YOE.
How’d you get an offer?
What’s AML?
Applied Machine Learning
Do you have a phd ? Also which team in AML, that matters a lot.
No PhD I have a master's and did good research during it.. do u know about the teams at aml?
Yes, research engineers at brain are respected. Nobody cares what your title is. Research engineers regularly publish first author papers. Brain has a ton of flexibility and it’s mostly up to the individual to decide where on the spectrum they fall on research and engineering.
how did you get the RS role with MS? did you have papers?
Similar positions. Both are pretty applied. Depends on if you care about publishing. If so (as you indicated) I'd lean toward brain. If you want a faster track to higher TC, AML. I've also heard of toxic relationship between AML and FAIR, but I'm not sure I believe it--Only heard it 2nd hand. I'm admittedly curious about the TC, if you are willing to share.
I hate your stock. Just fyi
Don't short stocks, brah
