700 jobs for 250K new grads

Tech Sector overall added 700 new jobs in US in 2023 and 250K grads passed out with CS degrees (BS + MS +Phd). 2024 will continue to be at a similar number in terms of new job positions opening. Just in comparison, 2008 only had 55K grads. This will create such a huge backlog that it will be impossible to clear. Only 1 out of 5 student will survive this. The student loan debt will also see an increase in defaults. The biggest burnout will be for Indian students. I am already seeing an increase in cold-messaging (on LinkedIn) and a surge in interview fraud activities. Grace hopper conference fiasco was just an early sign. Maybe this situation will be better for India tech sector. These students will eventually go back to India and will improve the tech sector there.

U keep forgetting that more than 100,000 jobs were eliminated last year, that means total jobs added was layoffs + 700
