Hi, I had a phone screen for Software Engineer New Grad at Facebook today via Bluejeans. Here’s the entire timeline - 5 mins - Introduction 15 mins - One question (I gave 3 approaches of doing it and also answered all the questions about time complexities.) 5 mins - Tested the code against different inputs The interviewer then moved to QnA. I had around 20 mins left. I have read that Facebook usually asks 2 questions in 45 minutes. My interviewer did not ask me the second question. When I asked the same thing to the interviewer, I was told that it really depends on the interviewer and it won’t affect my decision. I just want to know if it is normal to be asked just one question. I had enough time left for one more question. LC 300 solved.
Yeah it’s normal. Some ask harder questions that take longer and don’t expect you to get through 2
Thanks for this information. It is a great booster :)
No point overthinking it, feedback from FB interview process is typically very fast, you should get update soon.
Awaited 🤞🏻
Hi, please do let me know if you get feedback. I interviewed on Monday and still haven’t heard back
Leetcode question?
Very normal
Can you please share the question?
Literally 95% of questions they ask are tagged on leetcode. Chances are you will not get the exact same question so just make sure you can solve all the tagged ones
I had the exact same experience the first time I interviewed with FB. It felt weird to be given one question (LC hard and tagged) then had 20 minutes left but did make it to onsite. This year I got 2 LC medium type questions and that was definitely way harder.
@op, have you heard back?
I did. Moving to virtual onsite.
Good luck!
OP, can you please share whether que were from LC fb tagged? Thanks
Hey, Not straight from LC. But if you have solved LC, then it would be a cakewalk.
How long it took you to hear from recruiter about onsite?

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
Interviewed with fb on a recruiting day a few years ago. I got nervous at some point since some guy around me bragged about how he got asked 3 questions. I got asked 1. I got the job. Doubt if the other guy did.
Thanks for this. It really boosts me :)
