I received an offer from Slack earlier in July and am getting pressure to sign ASAP, with a possible expiry of the initial RSUs next week. I have no competing offers, but made it to the onsite with Square, and am trying to get it rescheuled to be ASAP. HR said that once the SFDC deal closes (which could be any day now?), the initial grants will be void since SFDC does not offer initial RSU grants to sub-director level (offer is for equivalent of L5 SWE). Has anyone had this happen to them, and/or is what HR saying about SFDC RSU grants true? TC: $340k YOE: 5 #slack #salesforce #offer
Curious how Salesforce pay is structured if they don’t give RSU
You can just accept while scheduling other interviews
I think this is best advice. If they don’t want to work with you, just accept the offer and rescind if something better comes along
Sounds weird, everyone whom I know and joining below director level are getting RSUs.
Slack offer details?
Since when does salesforce not give out stock grants on hire? They don’t give refreshers to most employees. Recruiter is probably using a tactic to get you to sign
Lol, the lowest Associate level new grads also get RSU
Salesforce pays rsu
They have to be cryptic about what happens post acquisition because it’s not done or even guaranteed. I wouldn’t be surprise if delaying means you essentially have to start over, but salesforce does give RSUs. If you delay I would not be surprised if the number was lower. Sign now and keep shopping.
Everyone gets initial RSUs
Definitely am below director level and got an RSU grant with 25% vest in first year and the remainder vesting quarterly over next 4 years. Had a competing offer from FB. Things may change with acquisition though. CRM stock has not done well this year.
