why is slack stock dropping so much!! I had bought stocks at $37 and now its $22 :(
These start-up companies are plain cheating investors/stock holders by reporting losses right after IPO.
You mean just Slack? Others never made a profit.
what made you think they’d do anything else?
On or around June 19, 2019, Slack conducted its initial public offering (“IPO”), priced at $26.00 per share. Then, on September 4, 2019, Slack issued a press release announcing its financial results for its second fiscal quarter and forecasting a larger-than-expected loss for the third quarter of the year. On this news, Slack’s stock price fell sharply during intraday trading on September 5, 2019.
So it’s plain cheating with bloated IPO price
But why cheating. Why cant buyers wait to see their first quarterly report?
No one forced OP to buy the stock. Neither was any information missing. How do you call this cheating?
There are many startups who are just surviving to IPO and then bail !!
Please consolidate your thoughts to one comment thanks

investors know this. the greedy gamblers who only care about hypes are the one bearing the losses
OP: Buys over valued IPO stock Over valued stock: Drops in price because it's over valued OP: Surprised Pikachu
Agree it’s mistake on individual investors. But feeling sad on how market let’s startup get away with such easy traps.
The price dropping like a rock is literally the market NOT letting them get away with it...
Then short it instead of buying long
You can’t. Not immediately out of the gate.
The private investors thank you for holding the bag on their way out
I'm supposed to feel sorry for you gambling?
Still have time to get out.
Yep.. soon will trade for pennies
