Evaluate startup offer potential - Next Upstart

Series A Fintech company. This Could be the next UPstart considering the founders previous background Money raised: 50 million Series A Options given: 42000 Current strike price: 0.82 cents Current FMV: 6.12$ Total outstanding options: 30,000,000 Current Valuation: 180 million Planning to early exercise the options. Since I m early exercising my options, Not worried about golden handcuffs given time to exit could be 5-7 years from now. What are possible FMV value if the company hits a valuation of 1 billion. This is first time I m joining a series A startup. Any help from blind community would be appreciated. If they say, company hits following valuations in next 5-6 years 3 billion 5 billion 10 billion What are my possible exit numbers if company executes on their vision properly and I stay in the company to finish my full 4 year vest Considering the valuations of Brex, Ramp , Marqeta, bolt. Valuation numbers are likely a possibility given the recent demand in Fin-tech Current TC: 350k Years of experience: 10

Could be millions, could be worthless. 🔮

Did they just raise? Your strike price isn’t determined until the next board meeting which likely will move it to the current fmv. Also don’t do this for the money.

Roblox rzLh88 Nov 12, 2021

There will be some paper gain since the fmv will likely be the premoney valuation not the post money. Either way though, it’s negligible. You can’t math this. The risk is so high, that none of these numbers mean anything.

OP I'm in a same boat as you are, just I little fast forward to pre Series C . Joined series A fintech startup with the same numbers about 1.5 years ago and we're on track to close series C in about 6 month. We had 24mil outstanding shares at A and our round B dilution was about 30% which brought us to 32mil shares now. FMV from A to B went up x10 times. The projected fmv for series C would be x4 - x6 from the current valuation.

Thanks a lot.
