L5 Scientist, getting call from my manager 730 am every morning, supporting more than 8 projects now, delivering average 5 to 6 reports per week, 15 to 20 mins to have luch, signning off around 700pm...sometimes have to work on Sunday afternoon... Work hard, no life....
Leave pls
I agree. And I don’t say this in a condescending way but for OP’s own mental health and WLB. It should also teach OP’s manager that human beings are not “work-hard no-play” robots. And if you want to stay at Amazon, OP could just find another team.
Wow. So much for working hard at Amazon. Amazon has biggest insensitive @ssholes.
While others may be just chilling and get promoted faster than you. Does that make you mad? It should. Find another team or job
Absolutely, promotion is a shit show
100% this
I am preparing for amazon DS interview but posts like this ...😑😥
Don't be demotivated by this post.
Do be. Don’t come to amazon, this place is terrible
Have you tried saying no?
Yeah exactly push back if you don’t management will assume you can handle it :D
Then it’s pip
What’s the attrition rate for your team? Are you taking on others’ responsibility?
How does one find this for any team? Is someone actively publishing these metrics? Someone should make them conveniently accessible over a phonetool greasemonkey.
Talk to other teammates?
@Locria Lol, great question. This is why Amazon is toxic, we have people like ecomking that loves shoving their nose up Bezo’s ass.
Describe your day to day activities. If some could be automated.
Change teams. I work with a DS who has an ultra chill life as he is a part of a good engineering team.
Stop complaining and just switch jobs!!
Why is RS sending reports? I would expect RS needs would require more time for their deliverables but this sounds more like BIE?
I’m guessing OP is a Data Scientist not RS and a lot of DS do BIE work
Yes
