I have verbal offer for Group Product manager in Walmart labs for remote. I am in Phx AZ Base : 190k Bonus : 25% RSU : 50k YOE : 15 yrs TC : 190k Recruiter increased base from 180 to 190. Need to ask for additional RSUs. How much can I negotiate? Appreciate any inputs as I have to respond by tomorrow. Thanks! #walmart #product
Walmart doesn’t negotiate RSU
Per my experience, they do! I got an offer several weeks back, and was given 250K rsu, I was not happy and asked the recruiter to add more rsu + base, and they did increase a little bit to 284K. The offer was based on bay area for Staff Level Engineer
How are you calculating that? Walmart doesn’t do big lump sum RSU like that. They do annual grants.

Base seems a bit low, maybe due to AZ. I received an X4 offer w/ 170k base in NY. Also, make sure you’re getting max RSUs for X6 (50k seems too low).
I asked for 80k in RSU. Waiting for response.

Not sure how Walmart works! So, 50k is spread over 3 years with quarterly vest? That means. Which is like 16.5k per year? Not sure what you mean by annual grant. Granted every year?
Packages are different on the coasts - both west and east coasts have significantly higher base and equity. For rest of US the payscale is same and considerably lower than the coasts payscale. Package sounds reasonable to me for a non-coast location .

Vesting at Walmart and the other brands under Walmart is like this typically Y 1- 0 RSU Y 2- 25% OF INITIAL GRANT SPLIT INTO QUARTERS + 50K REFRESHER Y 3- 25% PLUS 25% OF REFRESHER GRANT + 50K REFRESHER 2 GRANT You vest 25% of each grant every year. You typically get another REFRESHER grant same as initial grant every year. You need to stay at least 4 to 5 years to vest and get all of the RSUs you were granted. Very backlogged rsu vesting. The quarterly vesting schedule introduced a couple weeks ago speeds it up a little. But, it's still backloaded. So unless you get the signing bonus RSU you gain no RSU for first year.
RSU vesting changed to 3 years with quarterly vesting events this year. If you join in January you can get new hire grant and annual grant for your first year
Staff is an X5 role and principal is X6.
X6 can be Senior Manager II (people leader) or Principal (IC). I think Sr Manager II is the official Walmart title but outside Walmart it’d be considered Group if you’re managing multiple PMs
Ok this is people manager role and title on job is Group PM X6. Is there no such role there?
