Offer evaluation
I have an offer from a smallish company who seem to be doing some interesting work. I am frankly not enjoying my work at Cisco. Things that are stopping me are 1) performing at a new job with both kids at home for the foreseeable future 2)I have not job hunted in 9 years and this was the first company I interviewed for, so want to search around for few more months to see if I can bag something “hotter”. What would you do? I am in Cisco RTP (not the Bay Area) Current TC- $122K, grade 10 (15% bonus), untested total RSUs - 100k, number of RSUs vesting in 2021- 902 (approx $40k) New TC- base $165K (negotiable), bonus is 12%. Rest is TBD, meeting with the recruiter tomorrow. #offer #negotiateoffer

What is your current role at Cisco? I don’t want to like force you to leave, but I’m G10 in RTP @ 7 YOE with 190k TC... Feel like depending on your role, you’re getting shafted or something. Might be better to move
What do u work at in Cisco and what is the new job role description
These days mostly going to meetings and making stories up. New role is definitely hands on technical or atleast that’s what they say.
