Partner works at Amazon, I’m at Microsoft; which healthcare plan is better to add the baby to?
Microsoft lmao. Way better plan. No company in America has a better insurance plan.
What's MSFT plan? There's at least a few companies with very low deductible and 100% insurance so wondering what else Microsoft does
I thought my old startup had better insurance (lower out of pocket)
Microsoft obviously… Amzn will pip you and then no coverage
That’s considered qualifying life event which allows switching.
Microsoft 100%
I'm at Microsoft and outside WA state. I believe WA folks get a better low deductible plan right? I think I only have the high deductible HSA plan. With a spouse and kid, I think the deductible is 3750. That's a actually quite some change especially if one doesn't go hospitals often.
Microsoft also puts $2500 a year into your HSA effectively reducing the deductible. HSA can be a great investing vehicle since contributions/growth/withdrawals aren't taxed.
Yeah my point is, there is a deductible of 1250 out of pocket for a family before insurance kicks in. We can also make tax free deductions to HSA. Regardless I think the deductible limit has to be lower
AFAIK you can do both if you want and don't mind extra cost. And if you really want more coverage you can buy a third plan from Obamacare.
MSFT by a long shot. I've worked at MSFT and AMZN both. Although I have moved on, my wife is still at MSFT and I'm still on the MSFT plan through her
Babies sell well on Amazon.
Certainly msft

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
I guess MSFT has better insurance than even Google.
