Inmobi work culture
Recently received an offer from Inmobi for SDE-2. Base: 33L + 2L (non-monetary benefits) and 400 RSUs. They claim it's going IPO this year. I am not sure about work culture there. I've been hired for a team that'll work closely with a team in China. Should I leave Flipkart (better name and very employee friendly) and take this offer? I had 4 rounds. 2 DS/Algo + 1 LLD + 1 HM. The process was pretty smooth.
Hi @kKfd10 How was the DS rounds in terms of difficulty? Were graphs and trees based questions asked?
Last month i interviewed for this team. My first round went really well. The second interviewer just didn't show up. Neither do the HR. I followed up multiple times with them but no response. I wasted half an hour of my time waiting on the bridge. I didn't like this behavior. Post two weeks HR just casually rescheduled the interview as if nothing happened and didn't even apologize for the negative experience. I denied continuing the process, as this tells the culture of the people there.
Recruiters are shit everywhere. Don't count that as culture of company and people. Recruiters are aliens and devils.
Isn't inmobi office pet friendly? Also 3-4 years back I had heard nice reviews for wlb of inmobi.
The numbers look pretty good to make the switch, either way both companies don't seem to be IPO'ing any time soon, so.
One point: donot trust HR, definitely don't trust HR about IPO dates. HR is the last person in company who would have any idea about IPO
Hey, my advice would be not join China team. The team in Bangalore location got dissolved last December because many ppl left due to politics by China folks. Most of the major/interesting work would be happening in Beijing office and leftover project will be sent to Bangalore location.
Oh this seems like a red flag. I don't want to run into a situation where job security might be uncertain or growth will be hampered by politics.
Job security is not an issue. If this happens, you would be moved to some other org but I would strongly suggest you to avoid this team.
Inmobi will IPO for sure. Are you going for Glance or Inmobi?

Their base compensation is significantly above Flipkart though.

Hi I just now got a call from InMobi HR regarding SDE2 opportunity. As I am not yet prepared for DS rounds, I asked details on Interview rounds. HR said that for SDE2 the first will be my domain specific round which is Android in my case followed by 1 Data Structures round and 1 Managerial Round. Is this right? And how tuff would be the DS Round?
