Hi Everyone, Need your inputs (especially from Infosys folks) to help me unite with my other half. My fiancé works at Infosys in India as a Senior Associate Consultant (Project Manager). I need some help incase others went through same situation. My query is how easy is for her to get internally transferred to a team in Seattle ? She has been in Infosys for just about 2 years. Does Infosys allow internal switches on marriage grounds, do they sponsor L1 easily? Do they frequently have openings for such switches? Her HR said they only sponsor on B1/B2, is that true ? If this doesn't work out, we would have to go via Masters F1 visa route, which she is reluctant as she did her MBA back in India before joining Infosys. Also, Amazon is not processing perm this year, so my i140 i.e spouse ead is off that table for the scope of this post. TC: 210k, YOE: 4.5 #workvisa #infosys #h1b
She did MBA but still working in Infosys?? You know the answer to your question!!
Is she fine to stay at home while your perm process gets through? If not, she could atleast do a masters here which will allow her to work after 2 years(does not have to deal with the visa issues that you have mentioned)
I am not a huge fan of career break. Also with the layoffs into picture, no one knows when Perm would go back in full swing, given the backlog. Yeah masters is a backup option at this point.
I am not sure how much does infosys pays for someone in USA. If it’s low, she can definitely complete here masters in 1.5 years and earn twice as much as she earns now
File EB2 NIW. Don’t wait for Amazon.
