what is recruiting like around the holidays?
I’m thinking of ramping up my search, but don’t know if it’s worth it between now and Christmas. Does recruiting cool down during this time period?
Sometimes you'll schedule interviews but the eng who is supposed to be interviewing you will be on vacation
Yes. You can continue with it , but expect things to slow. Still worthwhile. Be prepared to remind folks of your existence the first full week of January, and be less worried about reaching out too much during that week.
I've got three interviews next week
Interviews will happen...hiring decisions may be slowed. Ymmv with each company depending on how hiring works
I'm hoping for that. The FAANG inerviews are coming up later in the month.
It’s very frustrating, need to keep waiting and waiting and waiting . I am getting tired of waiting after each round of interviews
Yes. Most people on vacation. Doesn't mean you can't finish the process, but expect the process to take twice as long to complete, start date likely in January if you get an offer.
