why can't I send usdc using something other than ethereum? Is this real life? Literally all other exchanges and wallets let me send using solana or a cheap chain like tron. This is just one example - tons of other tokens you should be able to use the cheaper chains instead of having to use the expensive one. Coinbase has some the best paid engineers and the most numerous amount of engineers out of the exchanges. What is going on here?
Probably some bullshit regulations
Profit
Coinbase follows all government regulations, meaning they have to go through a vigorous process before listing new assets. Thereโs a reason why exchanges like Binance are based in the Cayman Islands.
Now there's ftx based in the Bahamas ๐คฃ
so you are saying all other exchanges, including ftx US (which is based in the USA) do not follow regulations? wut? how can ftx usa operate in USA without following regulations? What about blockfi? Circle (owned by Goldman Sachs) ? Blockfolio (which is now owned by FTX), Metamask, Gemini, literally tons of companies are based in the usa and follow all government regulations. Most of them also offer interest bearing products. Coinbase pays the worst interest rates out of all, charges the highest fees, and also has the worst functionality. How is this possible when they have the most and highest paid engineers?
they should indeed allow you to send stablecoin using other blockchains
