everyone else is rising😾😾😾
There are good days and bad days. We will rise again!
Just throw money into airlines. Enjoy large profits by July
Hopefully Android TV doesn’t kill Roku like Apple killed Fitbit.
Good point. Google is not sitting idle ;)
Because sozen’s comet is right around the corner
I think Android TV news and competition rising is giving the stock run for it's money. We will eventually kill Roku's market after introducing amazing TCL Android TVs. Watch out for TiVO 2.0 and how it collapses further.
I never understood Roku's stock rise and business justification. They are going after 60B TV ads business but more than 90% of consumption on Roku is due to top tier apps like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, Disney+. I highly suspect if roku gets revshare except placing remote buttons. Maintaining these services + cloud costs must be too high to justify the margins. Infact Roku must be begging to these app providers to place them on their platform. Rest of their apps are trash and probably focused on certain age population. I find it very hard to imagine that their so called free version of AVOD has so much viewership. Just look at their experience. It's so bad that I almost puked one day. See Tubi and Pluto experience instead. It's so nice and clean. They have some ads business (that they claim) but significantly lagging behind the likes of Facebook, Google and Amazon. I highly doubt if advertisers would like to consider Roku for their campaigns. If Roku announces streaming hrs split by non revenue making vs revenue making apps, I am certain stock will tank to $15 (IPO price). Roku has zero international presence despite of being in business for so long. This is exactly where they are going to fail because they don't understand international market. Fitbit failed similarly. They operated on their own and Apple scooped up the entire wearables market. Tivo had good days but stock crashed by 90%. Roku has same destiny as TiVo. Once a great investor said "If your food taste like others, it's time to shut down the restaurant". Disclaimer : I have a Roku device but I use it only for Netflix and Prime.
Go ahead and buy an Android TV. Let me know the experience in a few months. I bet you will want to throw away your TV.
Have been using both Android TV and Roku for quite some time . Never had a feeling to throw Android TV. My usage is different. It's only Netflix and Prime. I don't care if it's Roku, FireTV or Android TV
I didn’t get why roku was rising in the first place. What does roku have that any major company doesn’t? Fire stick has the same thing. How will roku make money?
Difference is Roku comes built in to most TVs. No one goes out of there way to buy a fire stick when every company has a similar product out
Roku Interface is more user friendly. Also it's search goes much deeper into apps and gives better results. For ex - you search a movie, it looks for all your subscriptions and tell where you can watch for free and if not free which service you can use to rent for how much. Fire UI was pathetic when I used it 2 years back.
