Interconnectivity is the future, and those who know how to effectively communicate and gather information online will have an ever-increasing advantage over those who don't. Fang afaik was originally coined by wallstreet as a set of tech stocks that were growing like crazy. In blind Fang, faang, faangmullas are the companies with highest TC. Higher TC kinda means more prestige. No one said that they are working on good/impactful things. I'd argue that Netflix is in the same boat as Facebook. World does fine without them.
