Just want opinions on work life balance in these top tier ones
Airbnb>google>>fb>amazon>uber
Airbnb isn’t that great in WLB, it very heavily depends on team
Couldn't you say that for virtually anywhere? (That it's team dependent).
How many hours of coding per day, meetings, wfh flexiblity at these places?
Why is FB rated so low? I assumed it'd be Ike Google.
Why?
It is in ascending order google engineer. Fb you work more than 8 on avg.
It all depends on the team and role you choose in a company. How well you set expectations.
In the next tier PYPL has very good WLB.. Working 5-6 hrs a day should do
Come to MS. Super chill here 👌
As ex-FB, would it surprise anyone if I say Uber>> FB?
What about Apple.
Interesting to see the perception that wlb is bad at Netflix. I work 9-5 and get positive feedback consistently
How high is the 'performance bar' you need to clear to stay employed? How often have you seen people fired for poor performance?
I’ve seen a few people fired for bad perf. The bar isn’t exceptionally high so long as your projects go smoothly. Just don’t fuck your coworkers over
In increasing order of wlb: Netflix, fb, uber, lyft, snap, airbnb, Dropbox, google
Uber has better wlb than fb? That’s not what I hear from any of my Uber+fb friends
Also Dropbox > others and Netflix is the worst? Really?
