hi all, I just got an offer from Discover but they want me to join on H1B transfer reciept. initially to get interview I told yes but now I dont want to join on reciept. They are hell bent that I should start as soon as I get the reciept. they will file in premium processing. how to delay the joining or get out of the situation? I dont want to risk my status by joining on reciept. pls help.
Get sick until approval 🤣 On a serious note claim you wanna leave current company on good terms and wanna finish up on your current work.
When should I say that? When they file or when I get receipt? Also how will I know the transfer is approved? Will I get any information or only company will get?
If you have recipt number you can check on USCIS website and register for text/email alerts on status
This is my first transfer hence asking
Don’t take the risk Tata. Don’t join on receipt.
Let them file and give you receipt number, then ask them to wait for 2 more weeks for approval (if filed in PP). Once you have receipt number, you can check status in USCIS website. Also do u know which Attorney/Legal company that assists Discover ?
No I dont know

Tell them it is a matter of two weeks. Wait or GTFO and yes, share TC offered or GTFO
