Do not ever work with TEKsystems

I have been working with two individuals from the TEKsystems Los Angeles office for a contract SRE role at a well known Silicon Valley company, but the role is located in Austin, Texas. For the two individuals I’ve been working with from TEKsystems, let’s say the recruiter’s name is “T” and the account manager’s name is “L”. I’m coming from a Principal Engineer FTE position at another large company which I will not name to maintain my anonymity. T and L had bad attitudes from the very beginning; a couple of dumb bimbos in their twenties with horrible personalities, a direct product of the TikTok era. They were impolite from the beginning. For me, this naturally made me treat this role with a lower priority compared to the other opportunities I was interviewing for. After crushing 2/3 rounds of interviews for the role, I did receive another FTE offer for a better role, which I told them about, but I also informed them that I would like to finish the process before making a decision. Their bad attitudes then became far more brazen and dismissive, and they actually tried to convince me to take the other role. However, I told them that I would rather finish the interview process and preferably have multiple offers on the table before making a decision, and I didn’t appreciate them trying to coerce me into making a decision that I wasn’t yet ready to make. Instead of trying to deescalate the situation, they became even more unprofessional and confrontational, to which I asked them how the hiring team and the company’s HR might feel about the entire exchange and about how they were representing the role, and I informed them that might also hurt TEKsystems prospects for future business with the company. This is when they immediately began backpedaling, walking back their statements, and apologizing. I accepted their apologies and left it as, “It’s ok, everyone’s entitled to a one-off now and then.” In good faith, I also apologized for my part in the exchange, even though I didn’t really feel a need to do so at all. However, after a few days passed, I learned that they went to the hiring manager and completely sabotaged my prospects for the role, which would be to the detriment of the hiring team because they’ve been looking to fill this role for months. Now they’re giving a load of BS excuses about why the third/final round hasn’t happened yet… “additional candidates are now being introduced by other vendors, which we were unaware of” and nonsense about “scheduling” after the hiring team was so eager to interview me the first two times. These two bimbos clearly gave much more of a shit about their spite than they did about the company or the candidate. Absolute imbeciles. Never work with TEKsystems. TC: $600K

TL;DR: Very negative experience working with two recruiters from TEKsystems for a contract SRE role in Austin. Despite my strong interview performance, their unprofessional and confrontational attitude, especially after I mentioned another job offer, led to them sabotaging my application with the hiring manager. This resulted in excuses and delays for the final interview round, reflecting poorly on their professionalism and focus on personal spite over company interests.

So you had a bad experience with 2 individuals and made a post to discourage people from working for the whole company, how big is the rock you live under? This could happen with any company, there are few bad apples in every company and its about time you come out of your bubble and realize that.

OP's tactics would have worked back in 2021 but now, they don't care. They want a desperate candidate that they can low-ball and OP, by virtue of his existing offer is not likely to be the best person to try that with.
