Everyone on Blind hates Canada for taxes, jobs, and salaries. However, why are the Express Entry scores so high that no one from the US can be eligible to receive an invitation? The scores are at 542 for the general category and last round was 561. What's driving this? The only way now to get permanent residency is to move to Canada on a student or work visa and wait for around 4-5 years. As an Indian Canadian, naturalized and moved to the US, aside from not having H1 stamps for life and relying on backup options like TN, and having access to 180+ countries, I don't see any additional benefits from this because I prefer living and working in the US. I read some where on Blind that after 40* if someone move to Dubai, they over value US and CA citizenship crew for settling there. Is it true? just wanted to understand different perspectives from blind legends about the demand, how US, CA passports would help make things easier other than the above mentioned.
wtf is your question? Why is there demand? Because people will do anything apart from living in their home country
Calm down. Need to understand various factors on what’s driving this?
OP@ ignore the bad actors on Blind. A lot them are xenophobic anti Indian. Some of these bad actors are Indian people who are now Green Card holders or US citizen. Report them appropriately and respond to only those who show genuine attention.
They need foriegn student enrollment to keep their universities alive
+1
That's because the median income in Canada is much higher than most countries
Capitalism saturates the national market and needs to be exported which causes imperialism which causes unequal exchange on the world market, putting a cap on the development of underdeveloped countries making them significantly harder to live in hence immigration to the global north is not much of a choice for prosperity but an imperative. That's why people come to live in -20 weather.

But we are in a phase where capitalism has outgrown political power and boundaries of the global north. There are more real jobs in the global south than the global north
Because US will never consider you as citizen, you can be kicked our anytime. If your kids are born ans raised in US, it will not be easy for them to adjust back in india. In such a case, Canada is a good alternate, even if its temporary till you find another job in US. I moved to India by choice and trust me its not an easy pill to swollow. And i dont have woes of kids. Spend 3 years in Canada and you always have a backup of Candian passport. Later move to US. If you have family emergency in India and your H1 extension is pending, travel to India and return tp US as a visitor on Canadian passport. When H1 is approved, cross border and enter as H1 worker. I have known people on indian passport who could not travel to India even in emergency situations as they have young kids, and if they exit US while their H1 is in processing then they can't return back. Also, you don't have to pay for UK or Europe visas.
Wow, never thought about this one traveling as a visitor and then drive to border to get a new i94 for H1
Yes i am living in sh*thole named Canada for same reason. As i want to do another return to India for personal reasons but this time with Canadian passport, for easier access to US 10 to 15 years down the line (if i want to).
As you mentioned everyone on blind hate Canada for taxes and low comp but all these people are working in US or at high paying job. If you take Indian tech sector these high paying jobs are less than 5%, what about other 95%? Canadian point system care about your educational and IELTS credentials not how much actual skill you have. These things are easy to get for an average working person in India and their life in Canada will still be better than India. Take an average service company employee with MS or MBA, they get less than 5 lakh in India so even getting 60-70k in canada is better.
But as said no one can get PR now just by applying it. They need to go on student or work visa and have to wait for 4-5 years of their valuable time. Got it? Life someone get for 70K in Canada is same as 15L in India. That i can tell
That INR 5 Lacs annual TC in India versus CAD 60K annual TC in Canada is the real financial reason for immigration to Canada.
Why 4-5 years ? Can you explain this? Like if you work 1 year wouldnt points be enough
What are you trying to say?
Not much benefit but peace of mind that you have a safe haven for rest of your life for global warming or when shit hits the fan in US. If tech winter continues, Canada will be a decent option as fallback. With 300k+ salaries in US, it’s not a good option for last 3 years. Also, Blinders who don’t want to move or comfortable where they are will come up with cope.
Bud You don’t like it you can give up. Folks forget the options presented compared to not presented in life. Another cry-baby on blind
I’m trying to get different perspectives from blind legends
If that’s how you write I wonder 💭 how you will survive in future
