Is ETH a good investment or is is it too risky? It seems a lot of experts are saying it is about to blow up just like Bitcoin. Any experts that have some insight in regards to this? #investments

Buy now on the dip. Early dec is when eth 2.0 comes out which will make it sky rocket. Buy ethe if you want to make taxes easier.
I notice you’re using the term “investment”. Anything as volatile as cryptocurrency should be thought about under the mental models of “gambling” or “fun”. I would not recommend keeping this under the mental models of “long-term investment” or “retirement planning”, unless you’re cool with potentially losing a bunch of money. Keep this in mind when you’re deciding how much money you want to put into any crypto markets.
Not sure how long you’ve been following cryptocurrencies but most of those holding top coins long term have always made profits so far(unless they’ve entered during 2017 ATH, I believe they will also be profitable soon if they’re still holding). Mental model of “long term” in crypto is the way to enter and ignore the noise. Holding Bitcoin and ether long term is not as risky as it appears at this point. It’s definitely “gambling” if you enter for short term gains, be prepared for 80-90% correction when it reaches ATH.

Eth is great
I've owned ethereum since 2017 - DCAing means my investment is still a net loss because I did all my buying in bubblicious 2017-18. I really like the technology and think it will revolutionize contracts, but that doesn't necessarily mean that 1 ETH will rise in price.
Ethereum is the next revolutionary tech imo. I super bullish on it (first buy $48). It's going to be integrated into a whole lot of industries in the next decade and disrupt finance. It has way more utility than btc and I see 10k ethereum by 2030 for sure.
Imagine if ethereum gets 1% share of the ~600T derivatives market.... It will pump to ~50K USD per ETH!! Keyword: defi
ETH will certainly reach current BTC price plus more, inevitably. It's cheap atm.
