Looking at 2 offers, similar roles. Which will look better on a resume to have been working there 3 years from now? 1: Series A company, VP position. Assume company will IPO or be acquired within 5 yrs Base: 190 Bonus: 40/yr performance based Equity: 100 in options over 4 yrs 2: Public company, Sr Manager. Growth history like Okta, Twilio, Zoom, New Relic etc. Base: 155 Equity: 450 vesting over 4 yrs

Depends on what you are looking for and where you are in life, if Op is sitting on a few millions and wants to take on new challenge and risk, go for it, not everyone enjoying the big company experience.

Yeah it's Bay area; from context it seems like they weren't getting the seniority at the director level they were looking for. I agree that the options seems really low for this early stage
