I have an initial screening with the hiring manager coming up for the Staff Software Engineer position at GEICO. Could anyone share insights into what the interview process looks like?
[Blind] Check out this post! PSA: GEICO is implementing a yearly 20% ‘rank and yank’ system (Geico) https://www.teamblind.com/us/s/GtMAikXE
It’s easy interview, they just ask about experience, some basic mainframe questions, ibm db2
This position is for Java. Will they still ask questions about mainframes?
Yes, my interview was for Java and they didn’t ask a single question about java, they gave me feedback I was too weak. They have a senior butcher who deals with all candidates before they go to the real interview. Looks like one more ghosting jobs factory.
Did you go through the interview? How were the coding and system design rounds?
Not yet.I just spoke with hm and hr.I scheduled coding and system design for next week.
hey how was your interview, what kind of questions did they ask in the coding round of staff engineer interview?

They don't sponsor work visa. Ask them. Confirm with HM.
Sure. But the position indicates that they sponsor visas.
If "true" in practice. Good luck.
