I entered into the EE pool in April. In May I got an invite to apply to a PNP program through EE under Ontario tech draw which would cost an additional $1500. Separately, IRCC said they will start category based EE draw soon this year and I should be eligible under the STEM category. Should I go ahead and apply to the EE PNP or wait for the category based EE draw? Thanks! Current CRS: 482 #workvisa #canada
Depends on what you want There is no guarantee you will get an EE ITA You have a PNP guaranteed PNP takes longer from what I understand, but you will be in ON anyway which has the most opportunities in the country I’m supposing you are from India (which is a common thing here) so you might have a tough time adapting to the weather BC is the only place you would get better weather though (well, less cold at least. But it’s very grey during winter) From what I hear, after you get the PR you can move. The PNP only requires you to intend to stay in a province. It’s advisable to stay a few years just to be on the safe side, but it’s unlikely anything bad will happen if you move after getting the PR.
Why does PNP take longer?
Idk, probably because it does not go through the the federal points based system so I guess they dont prioritize it 🤷♂️
You can combine pnp and express entry which should be faster, update your express entry after receiving pnp nomination.
There might be some streams that allow you to do that and I’m unaware, but typically you have to decide before requesting the PNP as the prerequisites are different
PNP is gonna take time Scores gonna fall and you have a good score. If you don't wanna risk it, then apply for the PNP or else wait for the draw Also, why Canada? Everyone seems to be leaving now.

Lol, you should really come to see what's Canada is like these days.. no kidding
Wtf is all these
I would go for EE pnp for certainty. We don't know how many draws IRCC is going to do for tech.
Without PNP, CRS 482 wouldn’t work.
Might work, cutoff changes with time and 482 is not far off
