Should I move to Amazon?
For tax efficiency it's best to avoid dividends and such, ideally you'd have everything under a Bermuda/BVI/etc corporation which you never incur US capital gains tax on until you repatriate money to the US to spend. When doing this, real estate becomes more attractive since the income doesn't get hit by corporate tax first. Dividend stocks are fine if you are retired and need to spend the money, otherwise you want something that more efficiently reinvests the earnings.
At what point should someone start considering a Bermuda/BVI Corp
I did some math for my specific case, and decided that it is not worth getting into before I have $5M in investable assets. Would love to hear other people's opinions on this.
