Everyone wants to live in the best areas because of hybrid work. Houses in those areas will continue to be competitive while others will calm down.
I know it is hard to compare with prior crashes as each event is unique but there price declines are very reminiscent of 06. Where areas such as Florida (remember the scene in big short when guys from NY are surprised to see housing crash in FL) started showing signs of housing market crashing but other area saw prices going up.
