Passed to Jane Street onsite, how to prepare?

Honestly, I'm pretty stupid, probably below avg IQ, do I stand a chance of passing the on-site? I am a very good coder, I have 2000+ LC solved, so whatever coding they give me, I will spew it out quickly most of the time. But my problem solving skills are non-existent mainly due to my intelligence (tested it a couple of times). Are there any books or anything I can learn to prepare for them?

I am always confused why people used number off lc problem solved as a measurement.

I am just saying it to give a hint that I'm a persistent. I don't give up that easily. But I am pretty bad in pure problem solving which is probably something you are born with.

This smells like a troll post... I'll bite If you don't at least think you can do it, then you can't. So at least have some backbone and back yourself. Considering you got into Microsoft, not exactly an idiot but whatever. 2000+ LC means nothing. Not even a nod to your 'persistence' I can give you problem 2001 and you fail or a variation of the others you've done. The idea behind practising LC is to identify the various things they are looking for to solve the problem. Is it a traversal problem/ sorting? What's the data structure? What's an approach? Rather than looking to just solve the problem, actually look to identify and understand what they are looking for. Practice devising an approach without writing any code. I don't know of any books to develop your problem solving, but code katas are a good way to do so. Practice thinking up an approach without writing anything first. Lastly, the tests are bogus unless you're paying an org for something like mensa you're wasting your time

This guy has been in Google team match for 3 years and passes reinterview every time. I believe him tbh

I am good at LC stuff, but thats pretty much it. I am not trolling, why would I troll? I'll check out code katas, tnx. @workday I have passed reinterview every time - so far. At least in the last 2 years (not 3). I was also a bit lucky in interviews, I failed Google in 2021 though because I got question Ive never seen before (not even a variation of it).

Wtf!! 2000 🫡

So u cannot solve any problems u havent seen before? How were ur school math exam results?

Microsoft WHye63 OP Apr 6

I'm okay in math, but that's because I am a former math competitor. Again, I was not talented, but I was okay in finding certain patterns, so combinatorics and statistics I can do well, other fields of math not really. You can also often rely on already seen strategies (just reworded as most problems in combinatorics are).

How many rounds before the onsite? What type of questions do they ask?
