As the world's most popular computer software, we're used to hearing about companies that are trying to game the system and make themselves look better than they are. But this time, it's not just a few bad apples—it's an entire orchard of rotten fruit! The company that rescinded my job offer? They're just the tip of a giant iceberg of unethical behavior. I'd like to start by naming them: Suse is one of the biggest names in Linux world. They're known for their commitment to opensource development—but not so much in their hiring practices. I was really excited about this job, and it would have been a great opportunity for me. The interviews were completed and intially they rejected me. Suse had informed me that there will be two technical rounds. Later, they came with an excuse they wanted to conduct one more round to which I agreed. Though after 2-3 weeks I got an infamous auto rejection mail. The very next day I got an email again from the same HR stating they wanted to have a call because she was to share a good news with me. I agreed and joined the call. To my surprise the job for which I was rejected initially was in my basket again and they were considering me for the offer. Within few days I got an offer and I signed and accepted it. The entire process was too slow and Suse wasted my 2-3 months to be specific. I resigned and left my last organization and had two weeks left to join Suse. While only one week was remaining for me to board the suse train, I got an email from HR global head to schedule a call for an important business update. I joined and came to know the offer was rescinded due to unforeseen business circumstances and they provided me a two months of fixed pay compensation as a goodwill gesture (Though these f**ks informed me about the job offer being rescinded after I left my last organization and while only one week was remaining for me to join them.) I lost my last job and currently unemployed with no offers in hand (I was quite stupid to trust Suse) For the past few weeks, I have been working hard to find a new job. I applied to every open position on LinkedIn and What not, and even contacted some of the companies directly to see if they had any openings. No luck yet with the current market around. I'm not giving up so soon though! All I hope is no one ever should face unethical behaviour of such companies and everyone should take utmost precaution if you have an offer with companies who are not professional. I would appreciate if someone faced the same thing so you can name and shame the company in comments so list continues to grow as well as everyone is aware and gets to know how companies and their hiring process sucks. I guess the lesson is that you shouldn't trust companies with your career. You should be able to trust them with your data! #OfferRescinded #Unethical #SuseSucks
How is commvault ?? Rejected their offer last year...🥲
Suse added to my blacklist
Ironically suse India head was bragging how they were not affected by macroeconomic conditions and how effective there process is. These stupids went on to brag how they were going to hire almost 20% new heads from India
The thing is you should always have a backup offer instead of blindly trusting one company. Once someone offers better kick the one who low balled
