So I found a cat recently and it is a girl cat. I posted some posters around and added things on Facebook and on Ring. I went to the vet and went to see if she was microchip, and which she was not. However, since I don’t know if this is someone’s, I don’t know if it’s been vaccinated or not. I want to get vaccinated, but they said that I should get her spayed since she is right now in heat. Now I have two male cats but they are fixed so there is no issue there and they seem to get along with her fine. However, there’s an issue. The document mentioned that she will act weird weird in front of them for a while, but after a week or so, she’ll become very aggressive. That cycle will continue until she gets a litter. I honestly don’t want my cats to get hurt and I don’t like keeping her in the cage all the time, so should I get her spayed even though she may not be my cat what if the owner picks her up and she is fixed and they are not happy #Pet #Cats https://gofund.me/bf8a5af6
Mind your own business and leave that cat alone.
I picked up the cat because of how cold it was and I saw her around there a couple weeks before
@Sauropod Take your own advice and stfu. At least this person is showing compassion to animals- you are just a waste of space.
Yes. It’s likely she was not someone’s pet if she wasn’t already spayed. And you also said she was not microchipped either. Spaying and neutering as kittens is common
If the cats in your house, get it neutered
It’s your cat now so go for it.
Regardless of whether it is someone's cat, neuter her. 1) very likely she's not someone's cat, as you found her twice 2) responsible pet owners must neuter their cats, otherwise they go outside for mating and may end up getting hurt 3) if she was going to be used for breeding, then that's not a loving home. Do check with adopter - if they don't take her back after she got neutered, well, you have a third cat! Or even if you can't take care of her, she's better off getting adopted by a different person, than the one who aimed to keep her for breeding.
What's wrong with breeding?
Do it. She needs to be spayed anyway as she was already lost and at risk.
why not give it to adoption center
Well this explains my GFs behavior
Wait till she’s out of heat. There’s a rare complication with female cats that were spayed during heat when vet is not able to remove everything (because the tissue is swollen) and there’s some tissue left, they’ll continue to go in heat even if not being able to get pregnant. You don’t want this, so just wait for a bit. I had female cats in the past, heat usually lasts for a few days/a week, nothing horrible, but keep her away from intact males.
