Just complaining. I declined the offer and they said they will send a gift card. It has been over 2 months and i still dont have it. I am speaking about food and local cab fares to travel between hotel and interview location. Just be careful before you go for onsite interview with them.
Is this common practice? If a company invites you for an on-site interview they cover the expenses?
@PublicisSapient did the exact same thing to me
Yes, any company that requires candidate to be on-site for an interview has to pay the expenses. (Flight, Accomodation and food)
Small companies sucks in terms of organization. The same thing happened to me with a different company. I guess recruiter left who I sent expenses. I didn’t care since I got the job
How was the interview experience?
That's probably a processing error, I'm sure your recruiter/referrer would be aghast and fix it for you quickly.
I did constant follow ups. They said they mailed out the card about 2 weeks ago but I never received it.
Yikes. Talk about shit candidate experience.
What do you mean by expenses? If it's far away, they should cover flight, hotel and rental in advance??
uber/lyft is more common and they can't plan on the food you'll get in advance so usually, those have to be submitted for reimbursement.
