we just started using Google's "data studio" with a lot of success. it isn't as powerful as some software, but for some light weight BI related work, it's fast and easy

Spotfire. not quite as pretty as some of the other data visualization tool out there, but handles large amounts of data very well and good robust integration with R.

Looker has a ton of potential. Really surprised they haven’t gotten more attention yet.
^^agreed. Looker is solid, just suffers from few constraints. It can do 'anything' so leads to paralysis in getting started.
