China is spying through power cords!

China is the most evil country in the world with no doubt. But I'm really curious how it is possible to spy through power cords? China seems to be now more capable than CIA. It's scary and China must be destroyed before it takes over the world. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/08/us-tech-firms-fear-china-could-be-spying-through-power-cords-report.html

Regarding foreign policy, most US media from left to right are biased... Cf the microchip “hack” article by Bloomberg refuted by everybody, including most experts. And Huawei backdoors allegations without proofs are refuted by UK and others.

People give consent when they use Amazon smart devices. But China plants backdoor and spyware in all hardware without users' acknowledge.

Power cords can deflect usage surge but that’s it. If you had a detailed list of people and their that would make a difference.

But how are these data sent back to the servers in China? That is the most scary part.

Intel UGeJ58 Mar 8, 2019

Absolutely no way. The barrel jack doesn't have a data connection to the chips. Pos and neg(gnd) connection and then it goes to a voltage regulator input which filters the frequencies that are data connections anyway. The only possible way is through devices like "HooToo" which is kind of a security risk if you have one. In that case, you are consciously transmitting your internet data over the house AC/wall power

did we already forget the micros chips spy jokes ? when will these nonsense news end ?

Amazon JesozB Mar 8, 2019

The article is very vague. The only verifiable fact it mentions is the investment into Taiwan to manufacture components there. Rest of the article reads not more than a story woven around this fact. The mention of the Bloomber article seems like a way to lend credibility to the story by highlighting other similar incidents. All in all an amusing read but I wouldn't start throwing out my power chords just yet!
