I'm getting one offer each from the 3 cities listed. I don't plan on buying house. Will just rent 2 bedroom apartment. Austin offer is about 220k. How much should my comparative offers be in Bellevue and Cupertino? Please don't say it depends. Please don't point me to websites. I don't trust their accuracy. TC 120 Dallas 8 YOE
Austin hands down
Austin offer is good. With apple?
"Please don't point me to websites" but you trust a bunch of leetcoding FANG-obsessed shitposters? 😂
Just gathering data points from people who lived there. I can find the websites myself.
220K in Austin is like $320k in Cupertino, 2B I’m nice Area is $4k
Are you in Plano? How is the capital one campus there?
DM me
Go with Austin. I had to live in the ‘burbs of Seattle to afford a house. And although we have no income tax, we are taxed out the ass. If you’ve never lived in the NW, the lack of true four seasons may depress you, as might the gray from October to May. Austin has a great music scene and the people are way friendlier IMHO. Cupertino is so effing expensive though.
What company
I'll post all of that in a different thread once I get concrete offers. Help me get there!
If you like nature, Bellevue is a good place to be. You will get used to seattle weather pretty soon. Decent 2 bed room is 2500, all other expenses are almost same as in Austin. So may be I will move from Texas if Bellevue salary is atleast 40 k more. Or if I want to enjoy outdoors more.
Lol when someone has to say you'll get used to" you know it's not good
World knows seattle weather, Its better than Minneapolis / Boston
Wouldn’t recommend actually living in Cupertino-there is nothing to do other than shop at the world’s largest/most obnoxious Whole Foods and drive by Apple buildings.
