What’s the band look like? What’s median? What’s top of band? TC: 450k
Comp at FB is formulaic and by law FB has to provide you with the range if you’re in CA
Just have to ask
Already asked. But top of the range was vague.
YOE?
Are you a manager or director at Netflix?
Not at Netflix, no.
Generally you have to be a director at Netflix to get M2, your case might be different, but check with your recruiter.
Probably nothing close to your TC
Can’t be true.
What do you mean with data science, is it data analytics? If yes then I still think you won’t get to your TC
I would aim for 600k+ at the very least. Do you have any competes? Also: were there any folks on your loop that your recruiter thinks would go to bat for you (beyond “yes we should hire this person”)? Both will help immensely, but at M2 you should be able to get 600 or so just because.
Based on personal experience?
I have a couple ex-colleagues who went to FB at M1 and got mid-500s. They were engineering though, so not sure how comparable. I feel like it should be similar though.
Any update? @neetflix what did you settle at? Could you share the ranges based on your intelligence so far?
Your recruiter will have better info than blind.
Recruiters lie about compensation bands
No they don't, that would be illegal. (Assuming this is in CA)
