Growing career outside of Bay area/Seattle and remain technical

Just wanted to discuss about it and love to hear from folks who are in similar situation... One major factor to consider here is - AGE. Let me elaborate it a bit - this is my 8th year working as a professional and recently I promoted to L7. So I think I'm doing well and I love what I do. I'm also in my early 30s, so that means I have at least 25 yrs more to work and don't want to retire early. At the same time I want to be very technical and hands-on as long as I can. The more I take new responsibilities the more I need to travel to Bay area or Seattle to meet team members or stack-holders and I understand sometimes it's hard to be influencial from remote location. But my family is growing, not sure how long I can continue traveling every month. Switching team / employer wouldn't help I believe as I think the expectation for senior level role is to be a leader in the team and be with the team members as much as possible and motivate & guide junior members... So what are my options for future growth if I don't want to relocate? I don't like VP/CTO kind of role as well (for age > 45)... I love to code and want to continuously contribute by programming/ implementing solutions.... (I was an ACM ICPC world finalist.. so you know how much I love to code or problem solving) Again, it's not about $ or me.. not planning to switch as well.. I just want to get some honest advise from senior folks who ran into similar situation... Thanks a lot in advance.

A lot of our directors donโ€™t fly more than once a quarter. (Iโ€™m in SEA and most of my org is in MTV)

Thanks for your response... That's a different track, my concern is related to IC track.. how often you see T6+ at Google working totally remote and not traveling at all? Here, remote I mean a city where you don't have good presence.. not like someone in SEA and working with team at MTV

Sorry I should have specified - director level and also ICs at L6+. But my anecdote is SEA to MTV, I donโ€™t know what a more remote office feels like.
