Microsoft vs Amazon
Is it a good move to leave amazon for Microsoft in india.? Does Microsoft's employee benefits like free food, gym and other facilities really stand apart than amazon. Probably folks who have been on both the boats can let us know.
Aws > azure > Microsoft > Amazon
I am in amazon retail and have a chance to work with azure marketplace.
From my experience leaving aws for Microsoft it's more like this. Microsoft >azure >aws>amazon

Microsoft has better work life balance and if you have kids, benefits are MUCH better - you get back up care, discounts for day care, better heathcare
Join Msft(preferably Hyderabad), especially if you have kids, reason being Msft will give better WLB and TC is very similar. Just a suggestion.. choose your team wisely!
Depends on teams. Been at both places. Can't prefer one over other. Depends what you are looking for. You can't get everything in either of these two.
Is free food and gym real ? Or not? This is the most I crib at Amazon. Also how transparent are promos compared to amazon

At Amazon - 18 base with 25k USD worth of stocks. YOE is 3 years.
I know couple of friends who did this but their reason was more of culture fit and WLB in Amazon. Perks do stand apart but impact of work and growth opportunities are still better in Amazon according to them. Their major concern in Microsoft is beaurocracy of old timers.
