A lot of people on here complain about bad WLB at their company. Especially at companies like Facebook and Amazon. How long do you guys really work for? If you work for more than 40 hours then comment with the company and hours per week.
Someone voted 70 hours .. RIP
Used to work over 100 hours here. Not at Oscar. At an enterprise.
The results in this post are a lie. Ppl in general work 6 or 7 hrs a day, still they complain. Source: previous polls in blind and my coworkers from last 3 companies. Majority of ppl start at 10 and leave around 4pm Monday to Friday
How do you say that?
How are we defining work? Time actually being productive? Time physically at your desk? Time between arriving at work and leaving for the day? To your edit that I now see, congrats on your anecdata from 3 teams. My anecdata says differently
I normally start from 10-11 and end from 5-9. So 11 hours on a really long day, 6 on a short one. Probably 50ish in an average week. Maybe a bit more. But I enjoy my work and I'm fast tracking myself for promo, so I do way more than necessary. Could easily get away with less than 40.
How does your significant other feel about this?
That's a lot of tickets 🍌
Used to work 12 hours/day 6 days a week to keep the boss happy. Dialed way back to 40 hours/week. Now deadlines are slipping, but I have a life again. Change starts with you; work a strict 40. They can't outsource us all... right?
No they can’t. Your boss isn’t going to be beside you when you are on your deathbed. So why should you give your life to him?
This is at VMware? I thought VMware had great WLB
OP how much time you work yourself a week?
How's WLB at Dematic?
Do you want only votes from Amazon and Facebook, or also other companies?
