You can do a lot better in Austin with that YOE and even outside of FAANG.
Thank you and i second you! Austin has a lot more oppurtunities than Dallas and the companies don't shy from offering big. I have an offer in pipeline from AAPL, lets see how much they have to offer. I know they will try to low-ball me since i am not from FAANG, but anything above 140K base, i think is good for me!

Thank you! But i am wondering if that was meant to be sarcastic, lol! I have been around the area round rock/ cedar park/ Domain, and they all look good - nothing magnificent, but its all right. I am from Dallas, and want to make the switch for personal reasons.
Downtown Austin is expensive and small for the price. It's more cost effective to live further out. Word of advice try the traffic for a few days so you know what to expect. If you can come into the office later then you will be fine but if you have to be there 8am ish. Then traffic will suck anywhere downtown. Do you know if the office is in Westlake ?
