Hey guys, I have an existential problem here: should I stay at Amazon in Seattle and have my net worth increase to $1M by age 30 (I'm 28 now), or should I move to NYC where I feel there are more girls that are my type? I've lived in Seattle for 1+ years and have dated a few girls, but none up to my level. I'm Ivy League educated, very fit and ambitious. In NYC, I meet many more girls who are smart and beautiful (lots of beautiful ones in Seattle aren't well educated). I want to date and marry a girl who is 8+ attractive and well educated. I tried transferring offices, but Amazon doesn't have product positions in NYC. Additionally, if I move, my total comp will probably decrease along with higher taxes/expenses, making it very hard to get to $1M by 30. What do you think? Stay in Seattle or move to NYC? TC: $206k now, expected $319k by 2020

Op you misspoke, your real age seems to be 18 not 28!
grass is always greener on the other side, man. if you really think nyc girls are for you, then i guess itās tc vs finding your dream girl. is there a girl in nyc already or just you hoping in general?
Hoping in general
Stay in Seattle but donāt stay at amazon š

Truth: if women don't like you in Seattle, they won't like you in NY. Stay there and make money.
This
He didn't say women don't like him in Seattle though?
NYC since money is there only motivator to stay in Seattle.
Whatās the expected delay in reaching one million if you move to NYC? Why canāt you move after you hit $1 million? Also why canāt you move to NYC with a better tc than you have now to offset the increases in taxes? Have you tried finding a job that pays enough for that?
You can find someone in any reasonably sized city. Step up your search, moving to NY isnāt going to fix your problem.
This guy thinks too much about himself. Hint, thatās why you will never get a girl, let alone a dream girl. Obnoxious people donāt make good life partners.
Math doesn't add up.. How is your net worth increasing by $1m by 2020?
He has $600k now give or take.
Ok so question is misleading. The decision is $400k vs the right woman.
