I’m trying to decide applying elsewhere or apply for a lead or staff engineering role at Disney. Trying to gage the typical tc for such a role
Disney as a studio pays pennies on the dollar for all talent. I’m honestly interested to see how they grow in this space given their reluctance to be anywhere near market rates
Disney offer is descent, but if you expect to earn 500K, you should go to Netflix.
Disney is cheap.
Disney is super cheap I did a lateral move and got a 40% increase in base. It’s super fun and you’ll get a sense of satisfaction that’s hard to beat and nearly free vacations but it’s not good for TC unless you’re a bloated exec.
Disney’s cheap. Also cheap on job titles
Two things 1)Disney is cheap when it comes to pay but they have good benefits like free Disney movies and tickets for family and friends. 2) currently they seems to laying off a lot atleast that’s what I have noticed in last few days.
Yep they’ve been doing a massive reorg since they announced the FOX merger and merged Disney Interactive and Consumer Products w Parks.
Disney is notoriously cheap. I can’t speak to specifics, but in entertainment they use their name to keep comp low.
