Get a job.
It's kinda hard to recommend anything without knowing what type of job you're looking to apply for.
backend, post updated
Build a full featured concurrency library.
wow, any more leads ?
Yeah pick a language. See how its concurrency library looks. Implement what you can, maybe in another language that you want to learn and whose library looks different. But those are small details - up to you.
Build a Facebook clone since you seem to be a fan of Mark Zuckerberg using MERN stack. Add redis for caching . Use elk stack for search. Use graphql for few microservices in this. Learn how to do spring cloud like stuff in node ecosystem like centralized configuration, service discovery, circuit breaker, distributed tracing etc. This will help you learn containers. Use websockets and event emitters for real time stuff like notifications or messaging. Maybe use kafka or rabbitmq if interested. Make the ui look slick with animations and stuff. Now seed the DB with real user data from social networks apis. Then run machine learning algorithms on your own platform. Build a game center where people can play live games in rooms like chess, roulette, poker etc
what's a realistic timeline for this project ?
Idk I am doing something similar. But instead of doing it alone I formed a group of 20 people on discord of which only 4 are active now. However most of them are beginners and the most active person apart from me is a high schooler π―. Anyway the problem is that every once in a while someone suggests something new like graphql firebase etc and we have to go back and re migrate everything..maybe you can set hard and specific goals and time-line. We are just doing it for fun.
