Has anyone on here worked at FINRA? Is the culture any good?
You won’t be allowed to do any stock investing if you work for them
Even index funds you think?
As a contractor you won’t have those restrictions.
Why finra?
Only a handful of companies/institutions hiring UX/prod designers in the DMV area. Gotta make do with what’s around
We're hiring...
Technology? Cut-throat, heavy politics, very good pay though
Thanks for the info! I’d be in design as a contractor in their Rockville, MD office. How much per hour do you think I can shoot for? (3YoE as a UX Designer.) Do you think they would be open to converting me to a full time role?
Design is part of technology org. Are you working with a vendor? W2 or 1099? Conversion would only happen 4-6 months down the road, if the group you work with wants to. It’s a fun group, but your future is always tied to budget availability, which renews every year, nov-dec. As a contractor, you will be given very short notice, if there is no budget.
Stop trying to make new acronyms. GAANDU is the source of truth
