It offers a job that provides a salary?
Sure, but many places do that. Do you guys not base your job choices on factors other than pure, raw, compensation?
^ until you make your FU money total comp is your driver.
It’s working with Jennifer Garner.
It was my highest offer at the time.
Are you happy?
I am interviewing around
It’s the best they could do, same as everyone else that works at mediocre companies (Cisco, Amazon, HP, C1)
I thought it was going to be a good fit culturally and the benefits are great. However after 11 months I am aching to leave and am interviewing now so I can give my two weeks notice on my anniversary. Stay away from D4 like the plague.
Yeah, had the same experience. Got a solid offer in base and sign on. Good work/life balance, great 401k match. Unfortunately shit seems to change often so the job you interview for and start isn't likely to stick around for very long.
Yep I had 4 different jobs in the first 8 months.
First, they say many of the right things about the importance of tech. Second they need a lot of help meaning you can play an important role. Third, sometimes they offer a competitive salary. Actual experience: absolutely enormous gap between talk and on the ground reality. Talented people enjoy being part of a 'transformation' until they become disillusioned and all leave around the +/- 2 year mark.
This is excellent.
More details about the gap?
This Glassdoor review is spot on: https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Employee-Review-Capital-One-RVW15169631.htm
Perfectly explains Capital One culture. No good work, too many road blocks to get things done, way too many teams to work on one small product, east coast people get promoted faster, rich never visits sf or probably don't care and many other shitty things ..
This is my review :)
How is working at credit karma? When i interviewed with your company.. one of the VP who i think got recently promoted was almost sleeping while interviewing me.. he probably didn't like me or they decided not to hire me but that is very rude
Sharpen them leetcode skills
Being closer to other peoples money?
Do you work for C1? Also what does that accomplish?
It gives you the warm feeling of being closer to cash. Cubicles in C1 are made of bank notes
