Mac question about disk size

My wife has a MacBook Pro with 500gb drive. Her mac reports 498 gb in use on the drive. If I open the hard drive, I only see 4 folders whose sizes only add up 286 gb. So how do I find out what is using the other 212 gb of disk space? Thanks

How my diet looks ?

Not counting RSUs, My base and bonus right now is 186. I am outside Philadelphia and recently got the opportunity to move to Southern California for a base and bonus of 286. Do you think 100k more will make up for the cost of living difference? PA state tax is 3%, I think I would be at 13% tax rate

Too close to call, but Biden appears to be winning

The mail in ballots which are mostly Democrats have flipped Michigan and Wisconsin to likely a Biden win. Looks like Biden gets 286 electoral college votes and Trump gets 252 electoral college votes. 6 states still too close to call. Pennsylvania has only counted 64% of the votes due to heavy mail
