*Posting for a friend* Hey everyone. I’m trying to pick an offer for post graduation but I’m not too familiar with the SWE world. Im looking for a company where I can maximize my future career growth. Not too interested in short term total compensation. WLB isn’t a major concern. What is the best company for a new grad? Credit Karma: Location: Charlotte NC TC: 100/15/0 Twilio: Location: San Francisco TC: 128k/25k/10 = 163k Service Now: Location: Kirkland WA TC: 95/15/10 = 120k TC: 0 YOE: 0 #engineering #software #swe
Twilio to get your foot in the door in SF, which will make it easier to switch jobs one day.
The above two are pretty accurate, CK's pay is similar to a mid level swe at any other company in Charlotte But on the other hand, the tech community is pretty small, so if they want to switch, it's pretty limited within the city
Hard to say but SF is easier to jump companies.
Are people voting Twilio because of location or because of the company?
I did for both
Servicenow is great company, but Twilio is good too and they gave you the best offer. If you’re ok with SF go with Twilio
No opinion on company but you're standard of living for CK will be so much higher.
