Is $115/hr for a Facebook Data Engineering Contract role a fair rate? Y or N? YOE: 1 (Technical) + 3 (Semi-Technical/Business Role)
Just take into account employer tax , health insurance , 401k and vacations . How much you make as FTE ?
Right now at BlackRock, everything is around 120k (base, bonus, benefits)
Good . Take it
Not bad . If you get 115 in your hand . Most of the placement agencies take anywhere between 10-50$ per hr easily . So FB might be paying 150 to your vendor who placed you
They wouldn't give him an offer with the agency markeup.
Hourly rates in tech on contact are usually that figure. Considering on contact you don’t get any PTO’s or other health benefits, you can try negotiating somewhat more
The agency offers benefits (UHC Choice, Dental, Vision). Need to check on PTO. Good to know, thanks
Facebook requires contracting agencies to offer at least 15 days of PTO
You make 120k now and are asking if 230k+ is a good move?
More so trying to gauge if there is room to negotiate with the agency
The advantage of contracting with FB,Google and Apple are the projects will go on for few years and also you can become a FTE after sometime. If it is 115/hr from Groupon or any similar companies then I will say don’t join .
Go for it!
Anyone know if there are UK contract companies for G/FB etc?
Amazon what you doing in uk? Ru fulltime
Location? I just got offered $70/hr in Austin, TX lol
Hiwdid yr contract go
Yes, it’s basically 20k a month, not bad!
Yeah, and the all cash component is pretty enticing
